Gracie and Hake Meet

After dealing with the waitress, Gracie turned back to him, but upon noticing his odd gaze, she tried to follow it to see who he was looking at, before asking "What're you looking for?"

When she looks over that direction, she notices Maxwell doing careful planning on a holographic display his Streamer is displaying. Hake speaks right after she looks. "Max is here as well, presumably working on his assignment."

Gracie cocked an eyebrow slightly as she looked over at him, before saying "You boys really do leave this stuff to the last minute huh?" Before moving to stand up, and saying "Let's invite him over here! More the merrier, as I always say."

He blinks, still sitting. Hake reaches his hand up at her as if he's signaling her to not go over to him. "W-wait, should we really do so? We might distract him."

Gracie grinned down at him as he said so, raising an eyebrow at him as she slowly sat back down "Aww, sounds like someone doesn't like to share~ Want me all to yourself for the night, do we?" She teased, raising an eyebrow at him as she awaited a response

He slams his fist against the table, causing cracks to form on the entire surface of it. Clenching his fist tightly as he blushes once more while looking out in the distance, Hake takes a second or two before he responds with: "Don't say such things, our co-workers will gossip about us..." With that said, many in the restaurant eye at him, whispering amongst themselves as they all give him different faces.

Maxwell blinks and looks surprised, letting out an audible "Oh?" when he hears Hake's fist slam the table, he looks at the direction of the sound and notices the two. Looking surprised, seeing Hake and Gracie eating together at night, wait... Maxwell thinks for a moment before he smiles. Closing the hologram on his streamer before he approaches the two.

"Hack, Gracie? I didn't know you two were on a date!" He closes his eyes and smiles smugly, having his hand against his own chin. "To do such a thing on an important week, you two are careless!"

Gracie's eyes widened slightly as she noticed the cracks forming in the table after he slammed her fist into it, before turning into a smirk, her eyebrow only raising further as she placed a hand over his fist, placing her other hand on his thigh beneath the table as she chuckled "Is that so? Would that be so bad?"

His blush deepens and he looks down at the table with wriggled lips, unable to maintain eye contact with her. Before he could reply, Maxwell intrudes on them and immediately his eyes widen, looking to up at him before he shakes his head. "N-not at all, we were only having a nice meal together."

Gracie grinned at Maxwell as he said so, turning back to Hake as she said, putting on a pouting face to mess with him even more "What, this is still just a meal?" She asked, moving the hand from his fist as she said "You know, if you're gonna lie, at least learn to make it more believable~" She taunted, before looking back at Maxwell "Have you finished the assignment Blaze gave us?"

Maxwell laughs at the two quietly, putting his hand back to his side before and reopening his eyes. "Yes, right before Hack slammed the table actually. What was the deal about that anyways?" He asks with a brow raised.

He sits there with the same expression from before, his lips twitching as if he wants to speak but can't.

Gracie laughed a little as he asked the question, looking back at Hake as she said "That? Oh, that was just his reaction to me flirting with him. Doesn't look like he's used to the sort of... Attention I'm giving him. Isn't that right?" She asked, grinning as she gave his thigh a light squeeze with her left hand under the table

His eyes widen a bit and he bites onto his teeth when she does so, immediately calming himself right after, nodding. "It is true, yes. Speaking of, may you please give me my space again?" He asks Gracie with a fragile serious expression, still blushing a deep red.

Gracie grinned at him as he said so, cocking an eyebrow at him without removing her hand, patting his leg a little as she did, before saying "Space? Nobody ever has space when they're around me!" At that same time, however, the waitress came with their burgers, as she sighed "Saved by the bell huh?"

He sighs in relief, bowing at the waitress before saying: "Much appreciated; thank you." He immediately goes for his meal, taking a huge bite of it. Not even caring if Gracie is still on him or not as all he can think about is eating right now.

Maxwell smiles nervously, sitting across from them in the booth. "Right... I forgot you burn through food like coal in a furnace." He says to Hake, reverting to his normal smile at the two.

Gracie smirked faintly as she watched him running through the food, calling the waitress back as she said "Could we get some more please? Maybe.... 2...? 3? Hake? Pause for a second, how many more of those do you want?" She said, trying to get through to him by reaching over the table and grabbing his shoulder to get his attention

Maxwell answers for him: "Erm... I can answer that, you'd probably want to give him 5. He eats... a lot. Like.... 6 meals a day." He says with nervous laughter after, reminiscing on the times Hake's obliterated him and Blaze's leftovers in the past.

He finishes the first burger within a matter of seconds, patting down his lips with a napkin before nodding. "Heh, you know me well Max." He says with a slight smile, confirming what he said is indeed true.

Gracie raised an eyebrow at Hake once again, before laughing and shaking her head, turning back to the waitress, who had an equally quizzical look on her face "Alright... 5 more it is. You still have my card." She said, before turning back to Maxwell, and asking "Did you order anything?"

He nods. "Mhm mhm! All I had were fried pickles with fish and chips. Bit unhealthy but it's a once in a while thing. I take it you and Hake ordered similar things?"

Gracie nodded at him as he said so, before taking a large bite of her burger, grinning as she said "This is the best thing on the menu here, guaranteed." Before looking back over at Hake, and saying "Hope the wait for your other 5 burgers isn't murdering you, you barely look satisfied at all!"

He taps his fingers on the table fiercely, already had finished his first one. His eyes dart around constantly, it's obvious once he eats he becomes animalistic until sated. Hake looks at Gracie and shakes his head. "Hardly, and that's an understatement."

Gracie chuckled faintly as she said so, shaking her head slightly as she replied "Something I should keep in mind huh?" Taking another bite of her burger as she said "Why not take your time with the food? Enjoy it?"
